At Jubilant, we uncompromisingly adopt an approach which defines sustainability as ‘business as usual’. Our promise of ‘Caring, Sharing, Growing’ along with our stakeholders, is the essence of all our activities that are directed towards sustainable growth.
Jubilant Pharmova has constituted a Sustainability & CSR committee at board level. This committee is responsible for monitoring the progress on triple bottom line parameters (Economic, Environment, and Social parameters). We have deployed dedicated sustainability teams, at our corporate office as well as our manufacturing facilities, for continuous review, monitoring and communication regarding Jubilant’s sustainability performance.
Jubilant aims to manufacture products for our customers through optimized utilisation of resources to minimise effect on the environment. We also have state-of-the-art environment protection equipment at all our manufacturing facilities, as we are aware of the threats of changing climate. We strive to reduce our carbon footprint through several energy consumption reduction initiatives and by the use of different renewable energy sources.
We believe that without a sustainable supply chain base, our vision towards acquiring and maintaining global leadership can never be achieved. With this in mind, Jubilant Pharmova formulated Green Supply Chain Policy in 2010.
Corporate Social Responsibility
The Company has a CSR and Sustainability Committee which has accorded its approval to implement its CSR activities through the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation. The social initiatives are implemented in the realms of education, health and livelihood.
The Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) is a not for profit organization established in 2007 by the Jubilant Bhartia Group. The foundation provides consultation to Jubilant as well as other companies in the implementation of their CSR programmes (as per CSR mandate of Indian Companies Act, 2013).
JBF's activities are driven towards channelizing resources for bringing measurable social change in society and indicative of our 'Caring, Sharing, Growing' promise. The projects implemented by JBF have a thrust on primary education, basic healthcare and skill development for employability and self-sustenance. The programmes are backed by a need assessment study before conception and regular monitoring and impact appraisal, once they are put into action.
Besides this, JBF initiatives also provide lots of opportunity for workplace volunteering and employee contribution to society. CSR is deeply imbibed in the Company’s approach towards sustainable development. Jubilant considers the community as one of its apex stakeholders and believes in inclusive growth. The 'Sustainable Development Goals' (SDGs), otherwise known as the 'Global Goals', are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. Jubilant, as a responsible corporate organization, works amidst these SDGs with a strong focus on social performance, as shown in our CSR projects.
